Libya:

131 opinion prisoners - at Abu Selim prison in Tarablus, Libya - started a hunger strike to protest against their continued detention after being trailed by special courts despite repeated promises to release them. Al Raquib Foundation for Human Rights and 22 Arab human rights organizations participated with strikers and declared Libyan authorities to be responsible of any health problems.

Cairo Center for Human Rights Studies demanded to send a delegation of mass-media personnel in Arab countries to visit Darfour region and to monitor dispute events there. In the same Sudanese respect, the "Yad" group is tracing the sufferings of Sudanese refugees (who are saved from El-Mohandsin Slaughter) in prisons as well as the rejection they meet by churches and continued security aggression against them.
The Earth Center monitors the sweep of agricultural lands by police forces in Abuel Matamier, El-Behira governorate accompanied with forced possession and violent aggression against farmers and their families and wives, as their wives and brothers were arrested and held at police station for no reason.

Writers without Borders Organization voiced relief at the release of Iraqi writer Kamal Sayed Quader, who was sentenced for thirty years by a Kurdish Court at Arbiel city - northern Iraq which passed that sentence against him due to his critical background of Kurdish officials and his writings about corruption and gratuity in Kurdistan, Iraq .. Writers without Borders Organization praised the step taken by Kurdistan Democratic Party to remove the claim raised against the writer Kamal Sayed Quader ..
