مناشدة إلى ملك البحرين من المنتدى المدني الموازي للقمة العربية للتدخل لوقف سلسلة الاعتداءات والاعتقالات والمحاكمات بحق الناشطين في مركز البحرين لحقوق الإنسان واللجان الشعبية التي تتحرك سلميا في ملفات حقوق الإنسان وخصوصا المتعلقة بالعاطلين ومتدني الأجور والمتضررين في الحقبة السابقة من ضحايا التعذيب والعائدين من المنفى والمحرومين من الجنسية. وان يتم إطلاق سراح المعتقلين، وان تتعامل السلطات مع المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني بأسلوب الحوار والتعاون وتوفير الحماية والدعم بدلا من أساليب القسر والقمع واستخدام قوانين الحقبة الماضية المقيدة لحريات التجمع والتنظيم وحرية الصحافة والتعبير، والتي لا تتناسب مع الانفتاح والإصلاحات.

Bahrain

An appeal to Bahrain King was declared in the civil forum aligned with the Arab Summit, to end the series of aggression, arrest and trials practiced against the activists of Bahrain Center for Human Rights and Nongovernmental committees which move peacefully through human rights files, especially the files related to unemployed, low wages and the victims of torture, and those returning from banishment under the previous régime as well as those who are deprived from having a nationality. The appeal also included the release of prisoners, arguing that the authorities have to treat the defendants of human rights and civil society foundations under dialogue and cooperation techniques. Such authorities are supposed to provide protection and support rather than repression derived from the laws of the previous régime which restricts the freedom of gathering and organizations and the freedom of expression and journalism, which does not fit the opening and reform age.

Libyan Organizations condemned the fire shooting against bare handed citizens in Ben Ghazi. A fair and independent investigation into this crime was sought to clarify the reason behind the use of live bullets against citizens by Security forces. Arabic Network for Human Rights Information and other 16 Human Rights Organizations issued two separate statements to condemn lifting the immunity of three judges and supported the demands of Egyptian judges. At Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate, the Committee to Protect Journalists announced the issuance of its international report for the year 2005. Kurdish journalist Marian Ha Lea Baja and his family are facing danger, because of publishing his book entitled: "Sex, Legalization and Women in Islamic history". International Anti-violence Organization proposes its approach concerning the cartoons defaming Prophet Muhammad.
